POLYPAL increases Tendam’s logistics capacity to enhance online sales

Grupo Tendam comprises the brands Cortefiel, Pedro del Hierro, Springfield, Women’s Secret, Fifty and Hoss Intropia. It has a network of more than 2,000 sales outlets all over the world, in addition to different online platforms.

The textile group has a logistics surface of more than 140,000 m2 distributed between its platforms in Spain, situated in Madrid, Toledo and Cuenca, and its international platforms in Hong Kong and México.

Need

Due to the sustained growth of its ecommerce activity, Grupo Tendam needed to increase the space dedicated to storage, preparation and packaging.

Therefore, the Group invested in a new warehouse dedicated to the online channel, situated in Tarancón (Cuenca). This action was indispensable to integrate third brand suppliers in its ecommerce, such as Levi’s, Dockers, Slow Love or Hemper.

Solution

To increase the logistics capacity of this 25,000 m2 warehouse dedicated to the company’s online channel, POLYPAL installed:

Adjustable pallet racking:

• Storage capacity: 3,000 pallets.
• Load unit: EURO pallet of 800 x 1,200 mm.
• Maximum load: 1000 kg/unit.

Mezzanines for the folded garment picking area:

• Built in two consecutive phases.
• Total mezzanine surface: 12,000 m2.
• 1 level at 3,500 mm.
• Uniform load of 500 kg/m2.
• Fireproof chipboard floor of 38 mm and galvanised metal sheet of 2 mm.
